Northside Baptist Church Thanksgiving
Northside Baptist Church in Ruskin , FL is putting together a dinner to anyone in need on Thanksgiving Day at 12:00 pm. “Anyone in need” can be anything (loss of a home, job, the inability to buy the groceries this year for a Thanksgiving Dinner, the inability to get together with family or friends, anything at all).
There is enough food to feed 100 people. As of yesterday there were only 25 signed up

TAMPA – The sheriff’s office is looking for quite a few men and women to watch over some 4,000 inmates in two Hillsborough County jails.
A recruitment fair is being offered Saturday for prospective detention deputies. The starting pay is nearly $45,000 a year following training and a lengthy certification process. Candidates cannot have tattoos that can’t be covered; smokers and users of smokeless tobacco need not apply. Applicants “must be of good moral character,” according to an online description. “No felony convictions. No misdemeanor convictions involving perjury, false statement or domestic violence.”
A criminal background check is required.
The fair will be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Falkenburg Road Jail, 520 N. Falkenburg Road. “We’re looking to hire 100 new detention deputies,” sheriff’s spokeswoman Debbie Carter said.
The job includes a health benefits package, paid overtime and tuition reimbursements toward bachelor’s and master’s degrees.
